I’ve been around australian shepherds since I was a child. Every aussie I’ve owned has been unique, yet similar in a way that has kept me coming back for more!

Our aussies have experienced life in the deserts across the southwest all the way to skiing with us in the snow capped mountains. They are an integral part of our life and valued members of our family. All of our aussies are medium to high drive, but they also have an off-switch. This combination really makes them wonderful companions, but also great for outdoor adventures and dog sports!

The first aussie I owned as a young adult was not well bred, but was a fun entry into owning the breed. At that time I had no idea about health testing, backyard breeding, and the different aussie lines. My first aussie developed epilepsy around age 7 and since then we have navigated his life with this condition. We are able to manage his epilepsy and give him a wonderful life, but this diagnosis pushed me to look further into the breed!

What does all this mean for us?… After many years of owning australian shepherds, I’ve decided to push myself further into the dog world… with the help of my aussie friends and mentors we have been training in agility, herding, and obedience work. I’ve also been attending clinics/seminars on canine health, structure, movement and aussie-specific foundation knowledge as well as speaking with our local veterinarians about safe breeding practices. It’s so very exciting to start building our program - to breed ethically and professionally while preserving the breed standard is my goal!

Health Testing

All of our dogs are health tested before breeding to ensure longevity and soundness! This includes the following:

• OFA hips and elbows - completed after their 2nd birthday

• PennHIP - completed after their 2nd birthday

• Eye exam - completed annually

• Genetic Testing - Full Breed DNA Profile

Puppy Training

All of our puppies will come with a free puppy training package. This includes monthly training sessions in-person (for those who are local) or online via zoom (for those who do not reside in Flagstaff). It’s important to me that you have the skills to succeed with your dog and it all starts from the moment you bring your puppy home!
